Ropecon Discord Code of Conduct
Joining the Ropecon Discord channel requires you to accept the following rules.
- Respect other participants. Do not call people names, taunt, insult or demean others. Do not make assumptions on other peoples gender, sexuality or other things related to their background. Do not judge or make fun of other people’s appearance or the way they speak or write.
- Please keep in mind on all channels that Ropecon Discord is open for people of all ages. Do not share explicit gifs, links or pictures.
- Keep your subjects suitable on the theme of each channel. There are channels dedicated for more freeform conversation. Do not disturb others if they are playing a game in the game channels.
- The default language for the online event is Finnish, but English is acceptable as well. There are two dedicated English speaking channels, the #international-meeting-point had both voice and text channel).
In order to enforce these rules of conduct, Ropecon Moderators may give instructions that must be followed. Moderators may mute channels and remove messages, pictures, links and other inappropriate content. Offenders of the rules can be suspended or banned.
You may report inappropriate behavior, links or other content by writing !report in a channel and then giving a short commentary on what the problem is. For example !report Are those inappropriate comments okay? Moderators are available at least on Friday 9 am – 2 am. Saturday 8 am – 2 am and Sunday 8 am – 8pm.
If you encounter harassment, you can contact the Ropecon anti-harassment employees. You can contact them during the event on Discord, by phone, by a web form or by e-mail, hairinta@ropecon.fi. The web form can be filled in anonymously. They will be available at all times, except at night. After the event you can reach them by email. You can find them on discord in the user list with the tag “häirintäyhdyshenkilö”.
